How Your Data is Stored

ICU Coach is designed with a privacy-first, local-storage approach. We do not maintain a central user database or store your personal training data, health metrics, fitness files, or passwords on any ICU Coach servers.

Most of your data (OAuth tokens, AI API keys, settings, preferences, cached training data) is stored securely and strictly locally on your device.

Coach-Athlete Feature (Cloud Data)

If you specifically use the Coach-Athlete connection feature, certain limited connection tokens (your display name, athlete ID, and an encrypted OAuth token) are stored temporarily on our secure backend (Supabase) to allow your coach to access your data. This data is strictly tied to your active coach connection.

How to Delete All Your Data

You have the right to request the complete deletion of all your data. Because ICU Coach operates locally, deleting your data is instant and fully within your control.

Option 1: Delete from within the app (Recommended)

  1. Open the ICU Coach app
  2. Go to Settings (bottom tab bar)
  3. Scroll down to the Account section
  4. Tap "Remove Account"
  5. Confirm the deletion

What happens when you do this?

  • Local Data: All locally stored data (OAuth tokens, AI API keys, training preferences, cached data, app settings) is instantly and permanently deleted from your device.
  • Cloud Data (If Coaching): A signal is sent to our secure backend which instantly and permanently deletes any coach relationship logs, push notification tokens, and encrypted OAuth tokens associated with your ID.

Option 2: Uninstall the app

Uninstalling ICU Coach from your device will automatically delete all locally stored data.
Note: If you were connected to a coach, your connection will automatically expire, but using Option 1 before uninstalling is the fastest way to instantly trigger server-side token deletion.

Third-Party Data

Some minimal data may exist with third-party services you connected:

  • Intervals.icu: Your training data is managed by Intervals.icu and is not affected by deleting ICU Coach. You can manage your Intervals account at intervals.icu.

Revoke Health Data Access

To revoke ICU Coach's read-only access to your health data independently:

  • Android: Settings → Apps → Health Connect → App permissions → ICU Coach → Remove all permissions
  • iOS: Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → ICU Coach → Turn Off All
